Jerry Martini was born
in Colorado, and by the age of 12, was performing on local
television shows. In 1966, Jerry convinced Sly Stone to form
a band and hence forth came an “invaluable and unforgettable
musical experience” with Sly & the Family Stone.

Jerry has shared the stage and studio
with countless luminaries including Mike Bloomfield, Carlos
Santana, Bill Wyman, Robert Cray, Prince, Graham Central Station,
Van Morrison and has appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show, The
Smothers Brothers, The Midnight Special, The Dick Clark Show,
Soul Train, American Bandstand, Merv Griffin and The Today
Show.
In 1993 Jerry was inducted into The Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame. In 2001 Jerry received The Rhythm &
Blues Foundation’s Pioneer Award at the Apollo Theater.
In 2002, Jerry recorded on new albums from
both Robert Cray and Willie Lomax. Jerry says, “ I want
it to go on record that playing with Willie Lomax and Shawn
Brown was as exciting and musically rewarding as any other
artist that I have recorded with.”
